DOES ANXIETY CONTROL YOUR LIFE?

ANXIETY RULES YOUR LIFE…

We often get locked in states of high anxiety due to a build up of circumstances and some unhelpful learning in our youth. Eventually these high levels reduce, but we are left in the habit of constantly scanning ourselves to check for anxiety.

Then if we feel ANY anxiety (as we inevitably do) this spikes our anxiety through fear that we will never be free of it.

The good news here is that anxiety is a natural feeling that we all need to feel on pretty much a daily basis. It tells us when big things are approaching and enables us to prioritize the important from the trivial.

We need to feel it. As soon as we stop fearing the feeling we stop amplifying it and get used to those low levels of anxiety that enhance rather than destroy our life.

Intense, excessive, and persistent worry and fear about everyday situations. Fast heart rate, rapid breathing, sweating, and feeling tired may occur.

Common causes of this symptom

Anxiety can be normal in stressful situations such as public speaking or taking a test. Anxiety is only an indicator of underlying disease when feelings become excessive, all-consuming, and interfere with daily living.

Anxiety is your body’s natural response to stress. It’s a feeling of fear or apprehension about what’s to come. The first day of school, going to a job interview, or giving a speech may cause most people to feel fearful and nervous. But if your feelings of anxiety are extreme, last for longer than six months, and are interfering with your life, you may have an anxiety disorder.

It’s normal to feel anxious about moving to a new place, starting a new job, or taking a test. This type of anxiety is unpleasant, but it may motivate you to work harder and to do a better job. Ordinary anxiety is a feeling that comes and goes, but does not interfere with your everyday life.

In the case of an anxiety disorder, the feeling of fear may be with you all the time. It is intense and sometimes debilitating.

This type of anxiety may cause you to stop doing things you enjoy. In extreme cases, it may prevent you from entering an elevator, crossing the street, or even leaving your home. If left untreated, the anxiety will keep getting worse.

Anxiety disorders are common and can affect anyone at any age.

The CONTROL System can and WILL help you change this pattern to a new positive one. The majority of my clients are anxiety issues, and we have been 100% successful in changing this pattern!

If You’re Battling Anxiety and Depression, Don’t Let Anyone Tell You It’s “Just Stress”

If you have an anxiety disorder, you may also be depressed. While anxiety and depression can occur separately, it’s not unusual for these to mental health disorders to happen together. And when I say Mental Health - that is a HUGE arena and we are all on the playing field at one time or another throughout our lives.

Anxiety can be a symptom of clinical or major depression. Likewise, worsening symptoms of depression can be triggered by an anxiety disorder.

Symptoms of both conditions can be managed with many of the same treatments including therapy and lifestyle changes. The most effective and quickest therapy I have ever witnessed for my clients has been the CONTROL method. The changes began almost immediately after the first consultation.

As these patterns changed, so did many of the lifestyle habits associated with anxiety. For instance:

• headache

• stomachache

• fast heartbeat

• sweating

• dizziness

• jitteriness

• muscle tension

• rapid breathing

• panic

• nervousness

• difficulty concentrating

• irrational anger or irritability

• restlessness

• sleeplessness

• Fear of Isolation

The new pattern of behavior helped these clients make different lifestyle choices...some of which we did a separate CONTROL session for to anchor the new patterns. Those include:

• getting enough sleep

• meditating

• staying active and exercising

• eating a healthy diet

• staying active and working out

• avoiding alcohol

• avoiding caffeine

• quitting smoking cigarettes

Remember, this feeling is NATURAL and we NEED low levels of anxiety to alert us that something is changing. If you're married, remember your excitement? That's a form of anxiety that we need!!

Anxiety is a normal and often healthy emotion. However, when a person regularly feels disproportionate levels of anxiety, it becomes a real problem.

Anxiety disorders form a category of mental health diagnoses that lead to excessive nervousness, fear, apprehension, and worry. Do you feel that you are constantly SCANNING yourself for anxiety?

High levels of anxiety can alter how a person processes emotions and behaves, also causing physical symptoms. Mild anxiety might be vague and unsettling, while severe anxiety may seriously affect day-to-day living.

Anxiety disorders affect 40 million people in the United States. It is the most common group of mental illnesses in the country. However, only 36.9 percent of people with an anxiety disorder ever ask for help, or even realize there IS help without drugs and without long drawn out, expensive therapy sessions.

When an individual faces potentially harmful or worrying triggers, feelings of anxiety are not only normal but necessary for survival.

Since the dawn of man, the approach of predators and incoming danger sets off alarms in the body and allows evasive action. These alarms become noticeable in the form of a raised heartbeat, sweating, and increased sensitivity to surroundings causing a rush of adrenaline which, in turn, triggers the "fight-or-flight" response. This prepares humans to physically confront or flee any potential threats to safety. In modern times, anxieties now revolve around work, money, family life, health, and other crucial issues that demand a person's attention without necessarily requiring the 'fight-or-flight' reaction.

The nervous feeling before an important life event or during a difficult situation is a natural echo of the original 'fight-or-flight' reaction. It can still be essential to survival – anxiety about being hit by a car when crossing the street, for example, means that a person will instinctively look both ways to avoid danger.

While there are a number of different diagnoses that can constitute an anxiety disorder, the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder (GAD) will often include the following:

• restlessness, and a feeling of being "on-edge"

• uncontrollable feelings of worry

• increased irritability

• concentration difficulties

• sleep difficulties, such as problems in falling or staying asleep

While these symptoms might be normal to experience in daily life, people with GAD will experience them to persistent or extreme levels, or a more severe anxiety that disrupts day-to-day living.

YOU CAN GET HELP FOR EACH OF THESE! The CONTROL System is designed to stop this!

WHAT are types of anxiety you should check yourself for?

Anxiety disorders now include the following:

Generalized anxiety disorder (GAD):

This is a chronic disorder involving excessive, long-lasting anxiety and worries about nonspecific life events, objects, and situations. GAD is the most common anxiety disorder, and people with the type of emotion are not always able to identify the cause of their anxiety.

Panic disorder

Panic includes brief or sudden attacks of intense terror and apprehension characterize panic disorder. These attacks can lead to shaking, confusion, dizziness, nausea, and breathing difficulties. Panic attacks tend to occur and escalate rapidly, peaking after 10 minutes. However, a panic attack might last for hours and usually occurs after frightening experiences or prolonged stress but may also occur without a trigger.

An individual experiencing a panic attack may misinterpret it as a life-threatening illness, and may make drastic changes in behavior to avoid future attacks. It is NOT life-threatening.

Specific phobia:

This is an irrational fear and avoidance of a particular object or situation. Phobias are not like other anxiety disorders, as they relate to a specific cause.A person with a phobia might acknowledge a fear as illogical or extreme but remain unable to control feelings anxiety around the trigger. Triggers for a phobia range from situations and animals, bugs, rollercoasters, to everyday objects.

Agoraphobia:

This is a fear and avoidance of places, events, or situations from which it may be difficult to escape or in which help would not be available if a person becomes trapped. People often misunderstand this condition as a phobia of open spaces and the outdoors, but it is NOT so simple. A person with agoraphobia may have a fear of leaving home or using elevators and public transport.

Selective mutism:

This is a form of anxiety that some children experience, in which they are not able to speak in certain places or contexts, such as school, even though they may have excellent verbal communication skills around familiar people. It may be an extreme form of social phobia.

Social anxiety disorder, or social phobia:

This is a fear of negative judgment from others in social situations or of public embarrassment. Social anxiety disorder includes a range of feelings, such as stage fright, a fear of intimacy, and anxiety around humiliation and rejection. This disorder can cause people to avoid public situations and human contact to the point that everyday living is extremely difficult.

Separation anxiety disorder:

High levels of anxiety after separation from a person or place that had provided feelings of security or safety Separation might sometimes result in panic symptoms.

MORAL OF THE STORY:

Anxiety itself is not a medical condition but a natural emotion that is vital for survival when an individual finds themselves facing danger.

An anxiety disorder develops when this reaction becomes exaggerated or out-of-proportion to the trigger that causes it. There are several types of anxiety disorder, including panic disorder, phobias, and social anxiety.

The CONTROL.System is designed to specifically get to the part of your subconscious causing this reaction or emotion. We will change this pattern is a very short time and get you back to living and enjoying life.❤️
